When academic malpractice has been identified following section 4 above, the AUO responsible for assessing the allegation should gather any supplementary information that may be relevant for a disciplinary hearing. In particular, they should enquire as to whether a student has any previous offences for academic malpractice as this will indicate the appropriate panel to refer a case to.
