Additionally, not all AI platforms are safe to use. The Department of Home Affairs has raised concerns on the safety and security of data shared with the AI tool DeepSeek. As such, UWA staff and students must not use DeepSeek in any way. UWA has blocked the use of DeepSeek on all University-managed networks and devices, and students should avoid using DeepSeek on their personal devices.
