Students may use GenAI in assessment unless they have been told otherwise before the assessment. Notwithstanding, PolyU upholds the principle that students should be accountable for their own work. While using GenAI in assessment may be acceptable, claiming any piece of work, large or small, generated by AI as one’s own is not.

You may be required to declare the use of GenAI tools (e.g. by completing an honour declaration form) and identify the AI-generated content in your work.
