JPUA supports responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools, particularly generative AI, to enhance language quality and readability, provided that human supervision remains mandatory. JPUA does not recognize Large Language Models (LLMs)—such as ChatGPT—or any AI tool as authors or co-authors. If an LLM or other AI tool is used at any stage of manuscript preparation, the authors are required to clearly and transparently disclose the extent and purpose of AI use.
