V případě, že bylo jakéhokoli výsledku dosaženo s využitím generativní AI, je povinností uživatele tuto skutečnost náležitě uvést v souladu s citačními pravidly zdrojů informací, a to včetně uvedení rozsahu, v jakém byla generativní AI užita. Nesprávné či nepřiznané použití generativní AI může být považováno za porušení etických zásad ve smyslu ghost-writing nebo contract-cheating.

Není přípustné kopírování výstupů nástrojů generativní AI (např. zkopírování textů vygenerovaných při použití ChatGPT) a jejich odevzdání jako výsledek studentské práce. Takové jednání bude považováno za obdobu tzv. contract-cheatingu. Je přípustné využití asistenční role nástrojů generativní AI, zejména pro vyhledání informací, které student následně samostatně posoudí a případně využije.
