From Semester 1, 2027, UQ's assessment procedure requires every course to have either secure assessment worth at least 60% of the course grade, or a secure assessment item worth 30% or more of the overall course grade that acts as a hurdle requirement to pass. During the transition, courses that cannot reach this level of security are asked to have an approved exception from ADAs and to include the stated exception text in the Assessment Additional information section of the course instance (clause 18 of the Assessment Procedure).
