The UTB coursework declaration in the Student Report Manual asks students to indicate whether they used GenAI and, for generated content, to include prompts and outputs as an appendix and cite the GenAI tool used.
Where a coursework item has no specified GenAI policy, UTB's guidance treats GenAI content generation as third-party assistance and says the assistance must be explained, declared, and referenced to avoid plagiarism.
For UTB module assessments, the GenAI guidance says the lecturer will specify the permitted level of GenAI usage for each coursework item.
