For IP Paris M1/M2 students in 2026–27, AI use in any examination is prohibited unless the instructor explicitly authorizes it in their instructions; unauthorized use constitutes fraud. Outside examinations, AI may support information searches, knowledge deepening or reasoning checks with systematic, precise, detailed disclosure, subject to explicit instructor bans stated in course instructions and plagiarism restrictions.
For IP Paris 2026–27 Masters, reproducing AI-generated text, code or other output beyond short excerpts appropriately cited is treated as plagiarism. Instructors may explicitly ban AI use in a given task, submission or entire course unit.
For IP Paris M1/M2 students in 2026–27, permitted AI use in examinations must be declared according to academic citation rules; non-examination AI support use must be systematically, precisely and fully disclosed. Citation alone does not authorize an otherwise forbidden examination or reproduction of generated content beyond properly cited short excerpts.
IP Paris Master students preparing research and theses must keep IP Paris or laboratory-specific scientific, technical and institutional information strictly confidential without a time limit. This does not establish an AI vendor retention or upload approval policy.
Under IP Paris’s 2026–27 Master rules, a finding of fraud or plagiarism results in a non-compensable grade of zero for the affected course unit, including projects and internships; a jury may deny a second-session attempt where offered, and a second-session finding results in automatic annual failure. Formal disciplinary sanctions remain a separate possible process.
For IP Paris M1/M2 Master students, where alleged misconduct took place at another public higher-education institution, including an IP Paris member school, that institution’s disciplinary body has jurisdiction, and the IP Paris president is informed. This rule remains in the 2026–27 regulation and turns on the location of the alleged facts, not student registration alone.
