China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) requires graduate degree theses applying for degrees to undergo text-similarity and AIGC detection before blind review and before the post-defense degree evaluation subcommittee meeting, with strict implementation from the Fall 2025 semester onward.
For 2025 full-time undergraduate thesis and design work, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) conducts schoolwide plagiarism and AIGC detection, prohibits replacing student writing with AIGC, and states that high-risk AIGC detection prevents defense unless the student revises or provides an accepted explanation.
China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) Graduate School instructed graduate training units to organize supervisors and graduate students to study AI-tool-use guidance and, under that guidance and the school's trial graduate thesis AI-use specification, manage and review theses or practice outcomes and conduct AIGC detection.
